Step-by-step how to add information about payments, receipts, and important points you should know.
For the teacher
1. Connect to Stripe
Create your Stripe account so you can receive payments online.
2. Receipts of classes
Stripe processes payment for individual classes. Payment is processed at the end of each class. The tutor will have access to all of the payment information (if the procedure was successful, or not) through tutor's Stripe account.
The tutors will be paid directly into their bank account within 30 days after payment processing.
We charge a one-time fee of 10% for successful processing (including 3.9% Stripe processing + $ 0.50 for Stripe).
The tutor is the person who authorizes reimbursement because it is the person who retains the frequency control. For this, the tutor will have to contact Tutor.id to make the refund to the student.
Cases where the teacher can (and should) give reimbursement: illness or death of a relative: student did not cancel the class, and did not attend for reasons of force majeure (Act of God).

For the Student
1. Add payment information
Stripe (Irish payment processing company that has customers like Facebook and Shopify) will retain all the payment information. It's safe. Multiple cards can be added, and one should be chosen as the main card. You can find the information about how to add your card details here.
2. Payment processing
Payment will be processed at the end of each class. The payment is connected to the online lesson schedule.
Reimbursement will happen with the authorization of the tutor, since the processing will be done according to the cancellation policy of each tutor. There are exceptions where repayment is possible.
Exceptions where the student can (and should) ask for reimbursement: illness or death of a relative: the student did not cancel the class, and did not attend for reasons of force majeure (Act of God).
There are two types of cancellation: before or after the teacher's free cancellation policy.
If the cancellation is made before the tutor's free cancellation policy, the tuition amount will not be processed (payment canceled).
If cancellation is made after the tutor's free cancellation policy, tuition payment will be processed.
The student does not pay any additional fees on card payments.
